About
rhythms of style, echoes of individuality
I have always loved looking at hands. Mine and others. There is beauty, aesthetics, tenderness, sensuality.
Touch is an incredibly intimate process, an art we create every day: the art of love, work, inspiration, creativity. For me, hands are one of the most sensual forms of the human self.
When I was a little girl, I would walk around Lviv for a long time and always freeze by the old leather goods windows. Gloves — colorful, bright, elegant, refined — hypnotized me. I dreamed: one day, when I grow up and earn money, I will definitely buy such colorful gloves. But time passed, I became a schoolgirl, then a student — and I never dared to even try them on. They seemed too special, too beautiful, as if made not for me.
Gloves became a symbol of secret thoughts, desires, and shyness. I remembered old films: the moment when the heroine slowly removes her gloves to touch someone's hands — one of the most intimate and aesthetic gestures of classic cinema. Or, conversely, a woman in the frame defiantly delivers a slap with a glove, or a man puts them on for a duel. There was something very strong, deep, and meaningful hidden in gloves. But then everything changed, the world became different — and gloves moved to the background.
And I regretted it, I missed it. I wanted to give them back their lost voice.
A few years ago I had a strange dream where I saw how gloves are created. Bold, bright, strange, nothing like the classic ones. I woke up with the understanding that this is exactly what I want most, the place where I can show my vision. I am a person who has never really worked with my hands, I do not sew, I do not create things physically. But my strength is elsewhere — in the courage to see differently, in inspiration, ideas, and leadership. I realized I could gather around this vision other people — professionals, craftspeople, talented like-minded partners.
And that is how KLATS was born.
I am not a designer or a seamstress. I am the originator, the inspirer, and the leader of this process. KLATS is a team of creative people whose mastery I deeply respect. And together with them I explore and reinterpret gloves — their shape, texture, new meanings and expressions.
What I do is not just an accessory. KLATS is my way to return to gloves their lost meaning, their sensuality and depth. It is an attempt to make gloves an important element of the look — its bright accent and the core of style, not just a small, unnoticed detail in the background.
We are not a mass brand. Everything is created in micro-batches, with quality and love. We are only a year old; we are constantly learning, changing, moving — sincerely, organically, and with all our hearts. We listen to each other, catch inspiration, feel the creation process that is like water — it does not stand still, it flows and constantly changes.
And that is where the magic of KLATS is born for me: in the flow of ideas, in the combination of talents, and in constant movement forward.
Because every touch we make is art.
Because gloves can and must be important.
Because KLATS is a story about the courage to be yourself. Even in the details. Especially in the details.
